Coefficient of Drag for Selected Vehicles

The charts shown below are a product of my imagination, but are developed from data contained in car design text, aeronautical text and just plain guess work. Use the data at your own risk; your milage may vary.

Curve for 100 to 150 mph Curve for 150 to 200 mph Curve for 200 to 250 mph
Curve for 250 to 300 mph Curve for 300 to 350 mph Curve for 350 to 400 mph
Curve for400 to 450 mph

Ah...the tables! This is a long table of drag coefficient data. It was harvested from a small computer program that has the capability to show speed through the gears, top speed, time to get there plus a lot of other neat stuff. I will be happy to send it to you for your pleasure and use. I did not write it and you must be able ot unzip it. It is a DOS program and out on the net it is called Cartest. The data in the program contains the Cd and frontal area for all the cars listed below. The frontal area is given in height and width and then factors that area. Not all cars had the frontal area listed so I developed a scale factor based on those that did then multiplied that factor times the dimensions to get the frontal area shown for those that did not. Is this correct? Who knows! But good fun anyway.

The following set of tables, containing similar data, come from one of the list members, Doug Odum. He copied them from a race car design text for me and I copied them into the table format. Please remember to geive credit to the originator of the data if you reference it anywhere.
